NHC is announcing a necessary change to our VoIP infrastructure. As of September 30th, 2023, NHC will no longer support updates to the Poly SoundPoint, Poly SoundStation, and Aastra phone models listed below. These devices have reached the end of manufacturer support and no longer will receive firmware updates:
Poly
- SoundStation: Duo | 5000 | 6000 | 7000
- SoundPoint: 330 | 331 | 335 | 450 | 550 | 650 | 670
Aastra (Mitel)
- Aastra: 6730i | 6731i | 6735i | 6737i | 6739i | 6753i | 6755i | 6757i | 6757i CT
What does this mean to users with a phone model listed above?
These devices will maintain their current functionality going forward. The existing setup as of September 30th, 2023, will remain unchanged and operational. Nevertheless, modifications to the device’s visual interface and button assignments, including features like speed dial and monitored extensions, will be deactivated after September 30th, 2023.
